Jacob is a Melbourne based theatre designer and practitioner. He has completed a Bachelor of Production at the VCA. Jacob’s design work has been seen on stages right across Australia on regional and major city stages. Some of his design credits include, Rust and Bone (Set and Costumes) – La Mama; True West (Set and Costumes) – MatchstickYou’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Set) and Bad Jews (Set) – Vass Theatre Group; Songs for a New World (Set and Costumes) – Blue Saint; MEMBER (Set and Costumes) – Fairly Lucid; Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune (Set) – Collette Mann/45DS; The Lonely Wolf (Set) – Dirty Pretty Theatre/MTC Neon; Therese Raquin (Set) – Dirty Pretty Theatre; Avenue Q – The Musical (Set and Costumes) – Trifle Theatre; Carrie The Musical (Set and Costumes)– Ghost Light; Love, Love, Love (Set), Jumpers for Goalposts (Set and Costumes), Belleville (Set and Costumes) and Out Of The Water (Set)  – Red Stitch; Love Letters (Set and Costumes), Educating Rita (Set and Lighting), The 39 Steps (Set) and They’re Playing Our Song (Associate Designer) – Hit Productions.


Jacob also has worked in a variety of positions with some of the countries leading performing arts companies, including MTC, The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia and The Production Company as well as on international Productions including WarHorse and Einstein on the Beach. Jacob has completed secondments with Showworks Theatrical Set Builders, Andrew Bellchambers and with Hugh Colman on The Australian Ballets Swan Lake. Jacob is a 2014 recipient of an ArtStart Grant from the Australian Council for the Arts and a 2016 recipient of a Besen Family Scholarship with the Malthouse.
